Michaela is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) which includes extensive formal lactation education and training. They have passed an international certification exam and maintain continuing education requirements. An IBCLC is the highest credentialed professional in the lactation field.

Consultations Include:

• Comprehensive history of birth, mother and baby
• Infant oral assessment to identify any possible challenges
• Pre and post feeding infant weights with highly accurate scale
• Observation, guidance and suggestions to improve latching and positioning techniques
• Education regarding normal newborn cues and behavior
• A detailed, written care plan with follow up instructions
• Documentation needed to submit to your insurance for reimbursement (if needed)
• Visit summary provided to primary care provider(s), as needed
• Follow-up phone/text support for two weeks
